In 2007, Carter Cast joined Hayneedle as President and CEO.
Before joining Hayneedle, Carter helped launch Walmart.com, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Merchandising and Site and then President and CEO. During his time at Walmart.com, he led the division to profitability, as it became one of the highest volume e-commerce sites in the world.
Prior to Walmart.com, Carter was a member of the start-up team for Blue Nile Inc., which became the leading online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry. Carter was Blue Nile's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Merchandising and Site when the company was named one of the 40 best e-commerce sites by Forbes magazine. In this role, he renamed the company and developed the brand and site identity, as well as the marketing communication and product assortment strategy.
Carter began his career at PepsiCo, Inc., holding a variety of marketing positions over a 10-year period. As the Director of Marketing at the Frito Lay division, he managed the company's $1.5 billion tortilla chip category and launched Tostitos salsas and dips, which became the number one product line in its category. Carter later served as Vice President of Product Marketing and Marketing Communications for Electronic Arts, launching products such as Sims.
Carter graduated from Stanford University in 1985 and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1992.
In April 2008, Ash ElDifrawi joined Hayneedle as Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to Hayneedle, Ash was the Google executive responsible for all CPM-based revenue for Google and YouTube. During his tenure at Google, Ash built the Google Brand Accelerator (GBA), a cross-functional organization focused on delivering relevant and effective display and video online advertising to F1000 brand advertisers.
Before joining Google, Ash was a Managing Director at Wrigley, where he oversaw a $1+ billion portfolio of brands including Life Savers, Juicy Fruit, Extra, Doublemint, Creme Savers, and Solano across four continents. Ash came to Wrigley from McKinsey, where as a Management Consultant he worked with the world's leading companies in solving a multitude of problems in the areas of operations, marketing, and strategy. Ash earned his bachelor's degree in biology and master's degree in sociology from the University of Chicago, and went on to gain his doctorate in clinical psychology.
In 2007, Jason Goldberger joined Hayneedle as Chief Merchandising Officer.
Prior to Hayneedle, Jason was Director of Home Improvement for Amazon.com after serving as Director of Sports and Outdoors, which launched the sporting goods business at Amazon. In 2000, he led a team that expanded Amazon's home business into several new categories, including floor care, personal care and storage. Jason began his career with the company in 1999 as a member of the team that launched Amazon's first home store.
Before joining Amazon.com, Jason worked in a progression of buying positions in home furnishings and domestics at Linens 'n Things and QVC. He began his career in the executive training program at the A&S division of Federated Department Stores.
Jason holds a bachelor's degree from Colby College.
In October 2009, Steve Dee joined Hayneedle as Chief Technology Officer.
Before joining Hayneedle, Steve was J. Crew's Chief Information Officer. In this role, he was responsible for integrating J. Crew's business and technology strategies, managing the companyĆs technology and communication infrastructure, developing ecommerce solutions, and integrating the hardware and software systems for J. Crew's retail, corporate, and distribution center locations.
Prior to joining J. Crew, Steve served as an executive in Accenture's retail practice from 1994 to 2006. While at Accenture, his successful portfolio included: Disney, Saks Incorporated, Toys R Us, Pao de Acucar, DaimlerChrysler, and AutoNation USA.
Steve holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida.
In 2005, Donn Raymond joined Hayneedle as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Hayneedle, Donn led the Financial Planning, Analysis & Treasury department at Oriental Trading Company, a direct marketer of novelties and toys. From 1997 through 2004, Donn held a series of financial and operational positions with Novellus Systems in San Jose, including Vice President of Worldwide Procurement & Supply Chain Management and Assistant Treasurer & Director of Investor Relations.
Before joining Novellus, Donn spent two years at Hewlett-Packard serving in various financial leadership roles. Donn began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP in San Jose.
Donn is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
In 2008, Jon Barker joined Hayneedle as Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to Hayneedle, Jon served as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Logistics with Cornerstone Brands. He led the team in the start-up and long-term strategy for a distribution network operating 2 million square feet of fulfillment. The company grew to over $1 billion in sales in less than 7 years. His team of nearly 1,300 employees supported major catalogs such as Frontgate, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill and Travel Smith, among others.
Prior to Cornerstone Brands, Jon worked in management at United Parcel Service. While at UPS he was consistently a top performer in new revenue growth within the business development department. He also held various leadership roles in operations and logistics.
Jon holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University.
In 2005, Dana Coonce joined Hayneedle. She is now Vice President of Human Resources.
Before joining Hayneedle, Dana was a Human Resources Director with SITEL Corporation's North America division based in Omaha, NE. There she provided the human resources leadership for two business units in the United States and Canada.
Prior to SITEL Corporation, Dana held various positions in human resources and organizational development at First Data Corporation from 1993 to 2001. She provided leadership in the areas of employee development and engagement, as well as performance management systems.
Dana holds a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in human resources from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
